Insurance of Legacy items

Insurance Policy

  • Items have a hold and store value which reflects either the retail price or the sentimental price
  • Items removed from ‘Storage’ and in transit – or stolen acquire a value that can be considered their bounty price – and reflects the sentimental price, the longing price and the recovery cost
  • Items removed from ‘Storage’ – for sale or artistic use acquire an ‘appreciation value’ – that reflects the saleable value of it within the particular culture or community of interest including museum acquisition value

Items listed may therefore be listed under their flat price – with clarity that they may acquire: unfortunate value or fortunate value

Items should ideally have some level of distinguishable marks, and unique provenance or relationship to a community

The items value as ‘Bounty’, or ‘Appreciation’ is ideally secured by registering it in our index of legacy items – though full listing of all material and similar possessions is not advised.
